According to the Government Decision dated 21.11.2016 from the Rural Development Department, under the R. R (Aba) Patil Sumbar Village Award Scheme, 8 talukas of Palghar district are awarded a prize of Rs. 10.00 lakh each to the Gram Panchayats selected as Taluka Sundar Gaon. Also, from the selected Taluka Sundar, a District Sundar Village is selected, and a prize of Rs. 40.00 lakh is paid to the Gram Panchayats selected as District Sundar Village.
From 2016-17 to 2019-20, 8 Gram Panchayats have been selected as Taluka Beautiful Villages every year and the award amount has been paid to them. Similarly, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, 3 Gram Panchayats and in 2019-20, 2 Gram Panchayats have been selected as District Beautiful Villages and the award amount has been paid to them.
