Vision and Mission

Women and Child Development Department is one of the 14 departments of Vikramgad Panchayat Samiti. Child Development Project Officer (Women and Child Development) is the head of this department. Through the department, various state-funded, centrally funded and district self-funded development schemes for women and child welfare are implemented.

Objectives And Functions

  • Implementation of government schemes – Effective implementation of development schemes for women and child welfare from state-funded, centrally funded and district self-funded funds.
  • To monitor and control Anganwadi centers in the district
  • To oversee the proceedings of the Women and Child Welfare Committee meeting of the Zilla Parishad.
  • To oversee the establishment-related activities of officers and employees of the department.
