Vision and Mission

Vision and Mission

  • Important schemes of the Central Government like Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Jal Jeevan Mission are implemented at the village level through the District Water and Sanitation Mission Department.
  • Under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), a centrally sponsored scheme, a per capita toilet incentive grant of Rs. 12,000/- is provided to eligible beneficiaries through this department. Also, public toilet construction and solid waste and liquid waste management projects are implemented at the village level.
  • Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, a centrally sponsored scheme, individual pipe connections are provided to households without individual pipe connections.
  • Trainings on various topics related to sanitation and awareness activities are conducted through the District Water and Sanitation Campaign Department.
