Vision and Mission
The Agriculture Department is one of the 14 departments of the Panchayat Samiti. The Agriculture Development Officer is the head of this department. Through the department, various state-funded, centrally funded and district self-funded agricultural development schemes are implemented.
Objectives And Functions
- Implementation of government schemes – Effective implementation of agricultural development schemes from state-funded, centrally funded and district self-funded funds and provision of government facilities to farmers through them.
- Quality Control of Agricultural Inputs - The department monitors the quality of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to ensure that farmers have access to high-quality inputs for agriculture and to prevent fraud.
- Agricultural Extension – Promoting and publicizing new agricultural technologies among farmers.
